I am Former Delaware Nation President Kerry Holton, but Im not only a tribal leader in waiting, I'm currently writing the comprehensive book about the life of Captain Black Beaver. The research into this mans life has taken me all over the U.S., he was everywhere.
When Im not researching or writing about this amazing Delaware Indian, i have many pursuits. I'm looking forward to returning to Kayaking and Fishing as it warms up. Taking my grandchidren and great grandchildren outdoors to fish and learn about nature, our tribal roots and I'm the one who learns so much from them
I've been a tribal leader since 2006, leaving my indelbile mark with the economic development in government contracting and gaming. Both continue to outperform our best projections as they spin out two per-caps per year to each individual. I've learned so much about the Delaware Nation since thatI would like to apply this knowledge in another term, make governing transparent, inclusive and understood for future leaders. There is so much to do in this area that will help us grow in all aspects of Nation-building. But it wont be easy, we need a lot of General Council members to be activated, to fulfill the governing role Gneral Council is responsibe for executing with knowledgable leadership.
